Do you think it's correct to clean, open, and strengthen each chakra individually ? Or should I open them all first, and then strengthen each one?

Hello Heracleia, and welcome back.

Yes, your first instinct is the correct one. The standard path is to work on each chakra individually, in order, from the base up to the crown, doing the cleaning, then the opening, and only then the strengthening or empowerment for each one. This is how the foundational chakra practice is laid out in the Temple of Zeus teachings, and it is the safe and proven sequence, especially for someone at the beginning of the path.

The reason for this is simple. Each chakra is a distinct energy center with its own function, its own vibration, and its own blockages. Trying to force all seven open at once, before you have actually felt and mastered any of them, is like trying to tune seven instruments at the same time when you have not yet learned to play one. The High Priest has written that the openings are "to be adjusted progressively to all the chakras, starting from the Base Chakra and going up to the Crown," and that you must "build the levels upward until mastery exists." Cleaning has to come first, because negative energy can keep the chakras closed strongly no matter how much you try to open them, and daily cleaning, sometimes more than once a day, is part of the process.

The actual work happens in stages, and it follows a clear sequence. First, you build awareness of the chakra through the Chakra Focus Meditation, working one chakra at a time until you can feel it as a living point of energy. Then you clean it, usually with the sweeping light method, and you keep cleaning as an ongoing daily habit rather than a one-time event. Once it is clean and you can feel it clearly, you proceed to the opening meditation for that chakra. Only after a chakra is genuinely open and you can feel it at the maximum level of awareness does it make sense to move on to empowering or strengthening it. High Priestess Lydia has noted that for someone new or feeling unbalanced, a good starting habit is to do small repetitions on every chakra daily in under ten minutes, which keeps them balanced without rushing the deeper work.

The other approach you mentioned, opening all seven at once in a single session, is what the Complete Chakra Meditation describes. This is real and it is powerful, but the Temple guidance is very clear that it is an advanced practice. The text states that "to perform this meditation optimally, the soul should already be open," and the High Priest has written plainly that "Before opening the Chakras through the Power Meditation section, you must ensure that you have mastered all the previous levels here." So that practice is something to grow into, not to begin with.

A practical next step would be to start with the base chakra, using the Chakra Focus Meditation as your template, and to add a short daily cleaning to your routine. Take your time with each one. The High Priest has said plainly that this work can take months or even years for some people, and that patience is not optional. Going slowly, one chakra at a time, in the right order, is not only the correct method, it is also the method that protects you from rushing and damaging your progress. You are asking the right questions, and the fact that you want to do this carefully is itself a good sign.

Hail Zeus.
