Learning Sanskrit

AvatarOneWithTheSerpent2 min to read

Hello everyone!

Recently in the temple, speaking with TG AI I had the idea of sharing my knowledge of Sanskrit with everyone as a way that I’m able to help give back to the ministry.

I’m enrolled in a class at a local Hindu temple. I’ve thought about posting a thread here every week of new things learned from class, or a YouTube channel with a series of reading, writing, and speaking. If anyone would be interested, it’s something that would be a fun hobby and I would love to help us prosper any way I can!

A fun fact that my teacher taught me is that the language is actually called Samskrita. The language combines words to make new words of relevance. For example “sam” which means perfected, well done and “kṛta” which means made, work signifies the holiest language that is grammatically pure, well crafted and thought out. It was changed under British rule to Sanskrit to change the meaning and degrade it in a conversion from India as a Hindu nation to xian filth.

Modernly, we refer to it as Sanskrit (संस्कृत) but my teacher insists we restore it to holiness and refer to it as Samskrita (संस्कृतम्) again!

That has nothing to do with Sanskrit and it's just a fake made-up language. That's why it's not on ToZ anymore.

Enochian has been debunked as a useless language. It's not ancient, it's a couple hundred years old.

I am reaching towards a green apple.

OK, I wasn't aware of that about enochian. There's still the Sanskrit dictionary I provided. People here can be so critical and hard to please sometimes...look, forget it! 😒

It's always the same people who have the bad communication skills!

Don't worry about it, just sharing the truth. There's no tone in writing, so it can come off as harsh, but there's really no ill tone :)

The language when referred to in general is Samskrita, as the group that teaches the classes is Samskrita Bharati but certain grammatical circumstances it’s referred to as Samskritam.

Thank you all for the feedback and for those that have shown interest! Since HPS Lydia likes the idea and some are interested, I will start gathering notes and workbooks that we have covered in class and breaking the information down.

For those that are interested, would you like a thread here on the forums every couple days or every week with each classes information? Or would you prefer a YouTube series or a way to listen to audio files as well? I’m not the most tech savvy person, but I’d be happy to learn to make and post videos to help others.

Can you do a series of posts, where you introduce step by step sistematically?

I think because you are already learning something it would be best to do whatever is easier for you. Maybe do threads for now and perhaps down the road, do videos when you have time. Whatever you choose, I appreciate you helping us my friend!

What you wrote, is actually Samskrita, and Samskritam.
