The Naga's were Ancient Sanskrit Priests. Ancient Priests were referred to as Serpents throughout the world. This is to denote that they had fully Risen Kundalinis. The Celtic Priests were called Naddreds, the Egyptian Priests were called Djedhi, both of which mean "Serpents". In Ancient Greece they spoke of the Pythia. These were a group of Ancient Greek Priestesses. Again, Pythia means Serpent. These were not actually Beings who had Serpent bodies with Human torsos, it was Allegorical, symbolic of one who has a risen Kundalini.
Lamia is also referring to the Kundalini Serpent.
