Kundalini Ascend

I was always wondering every since I started to feel the kundalini at the base of my spine and when it ascends, so I can direct it properly out of my crown chakra. But does it goes through the middle 6th chakra or the back 6th chakra whenever it activates again so I can be more knowledgeable about this tactic I only kept directing energy up my spine just so I can use it like a guiding point to help the kundalini ascend, I had a couple of episodes when my eyes were open and I get flashes of light in my eyes while I'm not meditating.
