Many people go to Walmart and buy a calendar with cat in every pages from 10 to 30$, here you get a calendar that will help you get a better life and yet, 1$ per month (basically the same amount of the cheap calendar at WM) is too much. Do you know how much efforts and time, people have put in this?

Don't give us something for free, then put a paywall behind, then cop an attitude when we get pissed for being charged for what was free !!!! Anybody would be pissed at that. I get charging for certain rituals,rites,etc... but to be jerks about it, made me realize something. We're not brothers and sisters, just soldiers in a war together. All those guys defending it and saying "they put effort and work into it, you should pay or make your own"... Bro, they had the 2026 and 2027 calendars ready when they released the 2025 calendar for everyone for free. Think about it: they had it ready 1 year ago and released it to t4 donors but decided to charge for it 1 year later. Don't believe me? Look at the post below:

You've proven nothing but your entitlement.

You recieved something for free once, maybe a few times, something that was a privilege and not a right. We were all privileged to have this given to us for free, something that people including the High Priest and Priestess labored for and gave of themselves to create, sacrificing their own time and energy to do, just to give it away.

Now you're complaining that it is now offered only to those who have a history of giving back and sustaining the Temple that supports and sustains you and gave you the means to rediscover your own soul, for free.

That is entitlement. That is childish and ungrateful behavior, not to mention disrespectful.

As someone who has given back to the Temple and will continue to do so, nothing changes for me.

Actually, this is a good thing, because this will reveal those whose hearts are not truly in it, if they cannot justify even one dollar or one cent to give back to the Temple then their heart is not in it.

And if their hearts aren't in it, then I say hasta la vista, we don't need them anyway.

No need for insults or anything hostile. Let us clarify what needs to be said and move on.

Anyway, there's been a lot of talk here on the forums and also in the live chats about the fact that the calendar will be available in HoO, so even if you didn't receive the big announcement, you would have known about it anyway.

to clarify here the 2026 calendar was never free..
So they didn’t give you something and take it away.. think of the calendar as a service that takes continuous work not an item that’s originally free suddenly being taken

If you gave homeless guy $5 should he get mad you don’t give him $5 everyday? Forever? No

it’s not one product that is complete forever ..
it’s a fresh piece of work that takes endless hours every year to produce

Those who are mad about a minuscule price tag are the same people who wouldn’t do even a fraction of the work it took to create this without expecting a payout

Imagine you spend countless hours working for the temple at the cost of your personal time, time to work for your own money, time with family, etc. for your Brothers and Sisters, for people who clearly don’t appreciate it…only to have people basically spit on your efforts and imply your trying to trick them or manipulate them with “bait and switch”, or to act as if they are in some way being greedy or disingenuous ..

they could have easily sold these calendars privately for profit but they do not..
donations aren’t going in their pockets they are going to the temple. They did this as a labour of love for the Gods and the temple..

Clearly this war isn’t taken seriously because for a war to be won people need to get off their ass..
War costs time, money, and blood..
Yet we complain about $5 calendars
We are supposed to be servants of the Gods

Imagine if the staff had this same attitude..
The calendars would never get made..

we would have nothing and nobody would advance.

entitlement is definitely a factor here.. rather you feel entitled to a free calendar or you feel entitled to people to turn back the sands of time and never give you a calendar for free because you’d be upset they won’t do it forever.. entitlement is entitlement ..

However, @Blackmage666 don't expect that no one will disagree with you when you express certain things.
Behind it all is hard work that takes many hours every day. It's not just a calendar, it's the VOLUNTARY work of many people whom we should simply thank.
Have faith in the Clergy and the people who work behind the scenes. If you have faith in the Gods, then you want this place to grow. And that's the only way it's possible. This is the will of the Gods.

So don't just be a spectator, do something for yourself, for ToZ, and for the Gods. Nothing comes easily; it's a law of life.

Participating in the community and posting in the Forums is part of our Zevic duty. Sharing what we find interesting and useful to other Zevists does not need to be compared to the posts of other people all the time. As you said, when recognition is due, a post can get pinned and get attention.

That said, your comparison to High Priestess Lydia's art sermon is totally wrong. It is one thing to post pictures of art to compare and have opinions, and another thing entirely to deliver a sermon that has spiritual knowledge.

You have a roundabout way of twisting ideas, and I understand the emotional frustration with "not being seen". This is fine if you use it for venting, but when you spend minutes / hours constructing reasonings and arguments that are not constructive for yourself... do you think this helps you in any way?
