JOS iPhone App?

This is just something bouncing around in my head, and unfortunately I am not technically minded enough, but I'm sure if it's not already in progress that it would be a great step.
Anyone out there know how to build an app?

I've had the same idea a while ago. But still, I am not one for designing apps. However I do know that you can download the needs and hows from Apple to start putting one together. And I'm sure you could read up on it or watch tutorials on creating a simple app, shouldn't be too hard if it is just a text app.
