Is it taboo or not

I need some opinions. I am living with a 14 year old brother in law an
the rest of my wife's family, but the brother is continuously adamant
about trying to get us to move out so we could get out of his space,
making more trash for him to take out, or getting off the computer so
one of us can use it from time to time. He trys to convince the
parents that they dont have enough money to buy sand rails or quads
now that were living here all the time and this has been going on for
one year. It obviously has caused me much grief and now I am ready to
just go off on him. Is it taboo to use magic to silence him or something?

It is not taboo to use magic on him or the others to ease your
situation. I would also suggest a campaign of underhand backstabbing
against the little shit as well. You must be able to put your greater
experience and intelligence to work to create discord against him, at
the same time use positive energy on the rest of the family to make your
position stronger. Do not lose your temper and shout/rage against him.
Show him up as the immature little troublemaker he is!!!

As far as I know it is forbidden to use magic against children and
animals that would harm them (the exception being for food and
self-defense). Since he's already a teenager you're pretty much free
to do anything. Furthermore since you're just trying to make him lay
off the subject if the process does not involve physical and/or mental
harm you can do it on just about anyone. People do it all the time
actually though most use hypnosis, NLP or something of the sort.

So... I THINK that's about the sum of it though I'd feel better if you
don't quote me on that. Remember to always do your own research and
check things out for yourself. For matters such as this it always
helps to check out the JoS site.

It's up to you some would say it is wrong some would say nothing. If
it isn't realy doing harm and you are just making him shut up or
perhaps influance his mind to get the picture to show him that the
world doesn't revolve around him and he can't get whatever the hell he
wants then fine. He's still kind of young so I would say take it easy
on him but some childrent think they can do whatever they want and
with no athority they will never learn.
