Having multiple partners just does not work in practice. I have never heard an example where this has no problems, and is sustainable for years with everybody being happy. There might be a few examples of this, but I just never heard of it. But there are hundreds of examples of where this destroys the relationship. I said there could be an extremely small number of people where this could possibly work. I didn't say it is absolutely impossible. But in 99.999% of times, it ends up being a bad idea. Yes, in WWII Germany, there was strong encouragement to have multiple wives. But the reason for this was because such an enormously large percentage of their population was killed in WWI. What exists currently in this world is most people have been previously harmed and damaged in some amount, and this makes it very difficult for them to now have a better life.
