Is it okay if I do squares for conflicting planets together?

For example I want to do Venus square and Mars square. Is it okay if I put them together in my meditation schedule? As far as I know these are two conflicting planets and some members have advised not to mix them while others have said there is nothing wrong with that. Also nothing is said about this on the squares page. So I'm a little confused, need some advice...

Well according to many things in astrology on websites and materials outside the JOS it suggests there might be based on signs or planets conflicting. So far as the squares it doesn't say anything about this on the JOS. I often work with this as if it's likely to be true. I also think cross dignities can possibly help or hurt something example Mars in Leo Sun in Scorpio. If one were to do these two together it might strengthen both squares according to the way the energies interact.

You have Mars in Aries Detriment for Venus and Venus in Taurus Detriment for Mars. This is why it's called conflicting. I tend to pay more attention to the signs with this than the actual planets. As many things can work together regardless in a chart just fine. Signs seem more the issue such as example Mercury Leo Square Sun Taurus in synastry and the way things interact in charts. Planets acting together often don't create as much conflict. Such as Venus Trine Mars.

With this said it's up to you whether you do this or not I cannot absolutely say for sure. I think it might be an issue then again maybe not the nature of the squares is not absolutely the same as astrology. But it might be as the Squares tend to interact with things in the personal natal chart strengthening or changing them usually in a nice way but every once in awhile not what people want that is what the warning I put out was about. Just be aware not a definite no.
