Inverted Cross

I read on the website that the inverted cross predates christianity, but I have not discovered any research to validate this nor provide what it would have originated as used for; can anyone elucidate on this subject for me?

So BUT means forget everything I just said, heres what I really mean. Thank you DR.Phil.

Gentile means non Jewish, to say BUT means you either do not know the word, which is what google is for, or you are Saying that you are not Gentile and in fact Jewish, however you are Dedicated to the work of Satan.

Im curious as to which am I to infer from your Writing?

Forgive me, or not, it was late here and I only wanted to quickly respond out of respect and appreciation; therefore research, and Google, were not of my mind in those moments. That being said I even corrected my exhausted self over saying Ho instead of Hi which after rest I discovered that the entire time I intended to put HIGH as High Priest. 
I am, in fact, A Gentile; I don't have even the slightest iota of Jewish.
