Important question: Do the gods really not need us? Why? So what are we to the gods?

AvatarUDDTHU3 min to read

Greetings to all my brothers and sisters in the Temple of Zeus. I have a question for you; I'm completely confused about the subject of humans communicating with the gods, and I can't understand a few things.

In the sermons written by High Priest Zevios Metathronos and High Priestess Lydia Coventina, I always come across the following sentence:

“The gods do not need humans/mankind.”

My question is:

“Why?”

I know that the gods are the supreme rulers of the world. They don't need anything like we humans do.

They don't need our worship, they don't need our efforts, they don't need us to follow their path or not; it absolutely makes no difference or matters to them in the slightest.

So... why do we need the gods? Why did they create us when we humans mean nothing to them?

We humans are nothing in the face of the gods' greatness.

Why do the gods not need us? Then what is our purpose? What is the purpose of the gods in creating us?

I no longer feel that the gods have any feelings for me or for all of humanity.

I feel that we humans are mortal, lowly creatures who stand against the gods and want to be like them.

Do the gods even have the slightest feeling for us? They don't even need to help us. So why?

Why are humans always such lowly, mortal beings in the face of the gods, who must worship them, when the gods don't even need our worship?

I feel that all of human life in relation to the gods is a one-sided need, where only humans need the gods.

And this need humans have for gods is so that we don't perish or cease to exist.

Because I feel that the gods will only save us from the complete destruction of the soul and eternal disappearance if we believe in them, and send us to the next life to worship them again, even though they don't need us or our worship.

If we are nothing to the gods but mortals and lowly animals, then tell me why.

If we are more than just mortals and lowly animals to the gods, then please, tell me why.

If the gods don't care about us at all, then tell me why.

If the gods truly love us, then show me! I am spiritually blind; I see no love from the gods, even though I have dedicated my entire life to them.

I feel like a slave to the gods, who can only hope for another life if I serve them. But if I ever stop following the gods, they will throw me into Tartarus regardless of what I've done for them, and a giant, three-headed dog will tear my soul to pieces.

And the gods and the world will continue to exist without me, because as I said, I am nothing. And I mean nothing to the gods.

SHAITAN, FROM THE QU'RET AL-YEZID:
"There is no God but myself."

This is the targeted message.

Hello brother, ask yourself, what would your children be to you?

Would you love them and tend to them to grow up strong and intelligent?
The Gods are like parents, just their power is that of the whole universe and the all in all, they love us and guide us through life.

My question to you is: Why do you feel like the Gods don't love you?

Death is the only promise,
so truly live your life.

There is a difference between need and want. The God’s love and desire humanity otherwise they still would not be here guiding us, even after all our failures and degeneracy you see around us and that have plagued this world.

You should really think about that deeply. The Gods are still here and humans were created with immense care, precision, love and respect to the point we can become like them and climb the evolutionary ladder. When you factor all of that, you will understand the whole “the Gods’ dont ‘need’ us” thing is miniscule.

Like Aquarius said, if you have children and not a matter of need because you as a parent wouldnt ‘need’ a child. The purpose of having children/creating life is much more than simple need.

Try to take a break and not let your emotions sweep you away. The Gods’ are beautiful, loving, merciful beings that desire our advancement and have done so much for us a whole species. Try not to see them from your “limited” human perspective. We are all guilty of doing this here and there.

The authentic relationship between us and the Gods is parent-child, like what has been mentioned, Theoteknia.

I try to imagine the eternity that the Gods have to maintain the development of all life in the universe, their patience and care is endless for us all. Humans are capable of becoming as the Gods, as children hopefully become parents themselves some day in their mature adulthood, but if humans are not yet ready, the only thing needed is more time, perhaps more incarnations, and further development of the soul.

The very same essence, inherited from the parents, is already present within the child.

We should also realise that we are part of the Gods who are themselves everything, the Gods in the myths have had to face the same battle against entropy and Izfet that we participate in daily, just in another viewpoint. It is humans who see ourselves as 'other' to our divine lineage because of the misinformation and ignorance that other humans have spread about the Divine and our own divine nature, it is up to humans to correct what we have falsely assumed.

We are never punished for questioning the Gods or even rejecting them, very very few people end up in Tartarus. They are aware of all the different kinds of mistakes and ways that humans can and have erred throughout time. When we approach the Gods, we realise that we have a very long way to go and that they wish to teach us. We need only be attentive students and desire to build an authentic relationship with Them on the path to being human and becoming Theophoros. We can begin to do that by appreciating the Temple where we can leave behind ignorance through study of the truth that is freely provided to us all and personally-reflective prayer to the Gods.

Humans are essentially, mini manifestations of the divine intelligences in the evolving landscape of the material realm. They are what the fruits are to the main tree. The tree might be eternal, but so can be the seeds inside the fruits.

In the same way that an apple and it's seeds originate from the mother tree, and if planted properly, can create another mother tree, in the likeness of the first; so can we perpetuate the Divine in the time horizon.

The Apple, in potential, is literally the main tree. The whole question is Zevism, is about precisely how the apple doesn't fall of the tree dead; but rather it falls in such a way it becomes a glorious tree. It carries this power in potential, and vested by the main, eternal Tree of Life.

Your fears and worries of irrelevance, or fears of punishment, are psychological fears - they are valid in your experience, but not what Zevism explains precisely. Zevism says yes; you are an apple now - you carry a seed, that seed is maximally important. And you hold this apple (yourself).

You can throw it in the mud, or you can plant it in the divine ground for equality and growth to the Gods, until the Godhead.

The choice is up to you. The main apple tree gave birth to you and everything you need. Zevism is the cultivation manual. The choice is ours and takes place through this life and our existence. We choose what kinds of apples we are going to be.

"Worship" from the side of the apple means: I long to become a tree, because I am potentially the tree. It's directed to you. The apple tree one looks at (The Gods) are not in direct "need", they are in however, direct WANT.

Because this is the cycle of growth of the universe. The Gods give freely and want this to expand infinitely.

It's up to humans how that goes in our own destiny and life.

Blessings to you.
