So, I started following how much time I spend on phone, screen, etc, and oh boy... little overreacting, but if I would have meditated in all of that time, I would have already achived godhood😅.
I try to limit my phone, its not easy. I dont have much to do (still searching for a job), but I try my best. Already dont use my phone from 9 pm to 10 am, I even putted a paying lock in it. Hopefully it fix my energy level, the tiredness is pretty bad, instead of not doing much.
And the weird part, I know it would be good for me, a few weeks ago I limited my phone use to around a few hours, I wrote to a girl, get drinking, kissing, etc. It was great, thats what I can do if Im not glued to the phone, but still... Not to mention it would greatly fix the porn problem I still have.

That is a very good start!

You can also do physical activity if you don't do it already.

Also, meditate everyday.

This Sermon of High Priestess Lydia can inspire you more:

For the porn addiction I had, after reading the Easy-peasy method, I also avoid as much social media as possible, like Instagram (I try to avoid this media) and Facebook. I try to hide any post that could possibly trigger something in my head (photos of girls posing in bikinis and such) just to give my brain a break. Maybe you could look for a media blocker that will block any videos and any pictures.

For the energy level, I do some breath of fire twice a day; it really helps my energy level.

Good luck with that.

Same here with most of those. In that I dont have a job or anything and so when nighttime comes its just porn. But the interesting thing is that since I'll never actually finish, I cope even harder to watch porn for even longer

Replace gradually your addictions with sport.
Up to be able to do sport until you are exhausted and doing meditation when you are physically tired.

Then observe how you change along the time in all domains, and you'll notice that addictions are related to your fear to evolve really and your laziness, it is not at all pleasurable unlike sport+meditations routines.

You'll get there eventually using time productively is a hard thing however where this is a will there is a way

The more you use your phone for mindless scrolling, the more you will feel compelled to do so. I went from using my phone all throughout the day to almost never using it for 'entertainment' at all. I realized the same thing you did, that if I cut it off I'd be able to get so much more done. I could've meditated much more, studied much more, and achieved much more in general. That stuff can literally smoke your life away without you even realizing it.

My mood has improved greatly since I cut it off, I feel much less anxious and restless. It's not even an effort to stay away from it anymore, I realized that the simple 'pleasures' in life are much more satisfying for me personally. Meditating, working out, reading, playing some Chess here and there and so on. The healthier your dopamine system will get, the more pleasure you will get out of these 'simple' everyday activities.

The best thing you can do, I stopped using my phone for useless crap, only calls or important stuff. Im not Superman now but my productivity is much higher and losing time watching useless things online is no longer a thing. I think my screen time on the phone is at most 25-30 minutes. Only when reading or watching some relevant things I can get close to 1 hour, but thats rarely the case

Chess is so much actual fun compared to dopamine spikes in the brain, and it trains the mind, too.

Absolutely, the only thing I'd add though is that playing a lot of Bullet (1+0) could spike dopamine excessively and make you feel kind of restless after a while...at least this was my experience. I prefer Blitz and Rapid, also because you train your mind more and the quality of play is much higher in general.

Hah, yes absolutely. I prefer 10+ minute games, and daily games are the most contemplative. Actually, I just started again after a 20+ year hiatus on chess.com. Maybe we can play together? I am not great, so do not worry!

Why not? I'd have to create a new account on chess.com though, since I am a lichess guy. No problem, can be done in no time, just give me your nickname on chess.com though.

Wow, didnt expect such activity on my old post. So, sadly it didnt worked as well as I hoped, but maybe it wasnt meant to be a full absence. My screentime got just a bit less, or remained the same, but I achived some great succes on my spiritual life, got a date and finlly kissed, rediscovered my love for fantasy books(read 1000+ pages under two weeks). But yeah, the detox, as I planned didnt worked, mybe I need to give it another go some times later. Also, I just get rid of facebook, absolutly no regrets. So much of these dopamin spike things feels like just noise.
Also, give me a moment and I gladly play chess, I just need to make a new profile(also Im painfully mediocre at chess😅).
