I was raised with witchcraft

Since I was about 6 I've been around witchcraft and witch doctors throughout my life I'm now 21. If it wasn't for those witches me and my family would be DEAD! It seems everywhere we go people do witchcraft to us especially my mom. My mom thinks its something that was passed from someone on our family(ancestor). Its like were magnets for it. Everywhere we move to, the house is haunted, we meet witches or someone does some on us and my mom has learned a lot through the years so she usually works with her little herbs and eggs and cleanses everyone and its gone or puts her spices together and makes bad spirits leave our house and she's done it a few times, I've been a witness. She believes they hate the smell or something but anyways why are we magnets to witches and witchcraft? Any suggestions?
