How do Satanism and National Socialism together?

Hi!
I was doing some research in the joy of satan archive and was rather surprised, because of all the NS-related posts there. I'm sorry, but I just can't understand how a tyrranic and knowledge-destroying regime like Hitlers is inspiring some satanists today. I know, how Himmler and some others were into Pagan "beliefs", but in my view they were quite contradictous: Isn't Satanism all about using your full potential? And isn't a dictatorship toxic for the potential of the individuum?
Please don't ban me, I don't wish to insult anyone. The only reason why I am still alive, is because I want to learn things, and that's what I'm here for.
