Hi Kristina,
Just thought I'd drop you a line. Doing well? How's your writing and music coming along? I like the sound of what you're doing and I wish you the best of luck on it! I can't help but admire you just a little for being willing to put yourself and your stance against Christianity out into the public. You must be a confident person!
Speaking of which, may I ask what kind of music you perform? Truth be told, I actually have quite a few family and relatives who are musically involved. I have a brother who does guitar, my other brother is in choir, and even my dad is getting into gigs doing the guitar. I also have my aunt who was a musician and married a member of what is a rather popular band. They band's name is "The Derailers". I myself have done a little piano before. I also got myself an accordion but I need to practice with it.
What other things do you do in your spare time besides writing and music? I like doing exercise in my spare time to keep fit. My favorite fitness activities are running and weight lifting. Besides that, I play video games on scarce occasion. I did a lot of this when I was younger, not so much now. I'm also quite the knowledge addict. I like studying anything which arouses my interest, which happens to be a lot! As such, I tend to have knowledge not widely known or having to do with unusual topics.
You say you have a methodist pastor for your father? I coincidentally also happen to have come from a methodist background. My mom is the Christian parent since such belief is prevalent on her side of the family. Dad, not so much. He never goes to church but he apparently believes in the "invisible magic man". I still hardly can believe how such a seemingly sensible person can seriously believe in that boogie man. Then there's my grandma who is a Sunday school teacher. The thought of her poisoning those kids' minds is sad.
I live in Ogallala, Nebraska and it's a rather Christian place. Ugh, I know! I heard that there are 13 churches in my town! We even used to have a Masonic Temple but that was torn down. I never told my family that I left Christianity and I think that would be a bad idea currently, so sometimes I still go to church with them to keep at bay their greater suspicions, which thankfully isn't very often. I was rather pleased to see during the last time that I went that the number of attendants had seemingly shrunken.
By the way, did you send me a Grouply invite? I recently got one in my e-mail from a Kristina VanIstendal. That's a neat last name. Kind of different from what I'm used to. My last name is Dikeman by the way. It's an Americanized Dutch name. I could tell you quite a few interesting things about my family's genealogy but I won't bother you with it unless you're really interested.
Anyways, I like talking with you. I'd very much like to get to know you better. I've had the desire of having a Satanic e-mail pal for some time now and although you're rather new to the group, I find you a very pleasant and interesting person. Perhaps you'd like to instant message me sometime? I'll include you on my messenger list. I never instant messaged anyone before so that'll be new.
Best wishes,
Derek
