I'm just about ready to dedicate myself to Satan. I know it's what I want now. I just have a problem concerning the dedication ritual.
I cannot access candles at the moment. All I have is a small white candle. Should I just wait until I can get to a proper candle, or will this be alright? I just don't want to present myself badly or disrespectfully to Father Satan.

My name's Ashley and I'm 13. I dedicated myself two months after my 13th birthday, and only several days after reading upon Satanism being a prior Christian, Christian to Wiccan, wiccan to agnostic, and agnostic to satanist. The only candle available to me was a small red candle. I was home alone and I was ready to dedicate myself, because I felt a very strong bond with father, even though I'd just begun reading upon him. I was living in a fairly poor neighborhood at the time, and I remember how awful the conditions I was living really were. Although the only candle I had was a red candle, I remember how dedicated I felt, and how honored I felt to being accepted by Satan. So I did the ritual keeping a lot in mind and heart, and I think that it didn't matter if I presented myself in a proper way or not by having the right candle, because after dedicating myself, my life began straightening out and I grew closer to father. I now no longer have suicidal thoughts, I live in a very good neighborhood after moving a few months ago, I always feel encouragement to better myself, and my demonic guide is usually keeping contact with me, and is someone I can talk to when I need to. So I think that if you want to get a better candle, then go for it, but if you don't, it has been proven to me by father that it was my thoughts and intentions that mattered more.

<td val[/IMG]If you were performing the Dedication Ritual in the physical world, candles should really be used, but you could always perform it in your Astral Temple (if you have one). If you don't yet have an Astral Temple, see the JOS website for details.

i did the ritual with a small white candle inside a glass holder ontop of a dish filled with water (safety precaution)... it is fine its whats in the heart that counts... when i did my ritual i felt satans presence, so it should work for you too
