Help with Thought Forms

I've a question for anyone experienced enough with thoughtforms ive searched around and cant find the answer to my question... I simply need to know how far say distance is the limit for placing a thoughtform on someone like how far away is to far or is there a to far? The person i want is over 2600miles from my location back home where i am from is that to far or do i have a chance??
