Getting into a trace, or even just relaxing is hard when you're new. My advice: start by
consciously relaxing your toes, your feet, your ankles, and work your way up by telling
each body part to soften and relax. Pay special attention to relaxing the shoulders, neck,
jaw, eyes, and forehead. Once you've done this, begin the 666 breathing. When you come
to the part where you're feeling yourself go down the ladder, it helps to hear noises. Like
imagine you hear the ladder making a creaking noise as you step down. I also like to
imagine I hear drops of water falling and hitting something. For some reason, sounds
seem to help the process of getting into a trace. But remember, your not seeing anything.
Just feel and hear.
