I am new to the concept of satanism(I say concept only becuase I am still testing the waters so to speak)and I would like to know more about it. Now to give a bit of background so who ever reads this knows I was once atheist to which I moved to agnostic while trying to find a religion/belief that I could actually have faith in, now while this path has had me looking in to many religions/beliefs I have yet to find one which brings me to satanism. Now I have always found it more informing to talk to followers/believers then to only just do research in to any religion/belief and I would like to ask for some insight if that is not to troubling for anyone here.
As a question to get the ball rolling (so to speak) I do understand that to preform any kinda of form of prayer/woreship 2 candles, a bell(silver), a chalice(silver), bowl(silver), cloth(black or electrice blue), and prayer written on clean paper are needed(if i have gotten any of this wrong forgive me). Now I want to stay clear of most people knowing what I am doing(not out of shame but to keep from hearing there dribble about what I am doing), so would it be acceptable for me to preform such a rite while I am camping? Plus I would like to know if it is in any way disrepectful for me to preform such a rite even though I am not what one might say a true believer of said faith?
Any input on the subject would be apperciated thank you.

Why would you want to perform a Dedication Ritual if your not sure. I know you have doubts; that's normal. Satan doesn't want weak willed people so you must be sure that Satanism is for you; it's a one way street and no turning back.

Many of us were Atheists at one time' but not always. My progression was: Weak Xain - Searcher of Truth in Religions - Agnostic - Atheist - Searcher Of Truth Again - Satanist.

This overlaped from one to the other but that's how many of us became Satanists.

Keep Studying ask questions and prove it to yourself; then you will make your decision to dedicate or not; but there will be no doubt when you do.

You shouldn't do a ritual if you aren't a dedicated Satanist, it's not a good idea because there are angels that can attack you and harm you. And since you aren't dedicated then you aren't protected by Satan and the Gods of Hell, so you would be on your own if you performed a ritual. And you asked if it would be disrespectful to do a ritual if you aren't a "believer". My opinion is yes, I think it would be disrespectful because it seems like you are looking for proof and you want to do a ritual to find out if your going have a supernatural experience of some sort. Being that your "testing the waters" and you seem unsure about Satanism. I recommend that you read JoyOfSatan.org if you haven't already done so. And consider starting a basic power meditation program, information about meditation is on the JoS. Read the site thoroughly.
