Guardian Demon Element?

I was reading over the guide that Priestess Atheron posted about a way to find your guardian demon. I found it to be very helpful and it seems to be quite accurate. I was wondering, however, if there is a likely chance of your guardian demon not being of the same element you feel close to. 
About a year ago, Abigor / Eligos visited me a bit randomly after I had dedicated and begun working on advancing a bit. I had not even asked him to come to me. I didn't recognize him at first because I had never seen any other Demons or Gods before so I flipped through all the Demons on the JoS list and found the only one matching his description and energy. When I looked at his sigil, I felt this deep connection to it. After a while, I tried using a pendulum to ask if he was my Guardian Demon. I did this multiple times to ensure it was correct (I have worked with pendulums before but sometimes the answers are off) and every single time the answer was the same. I feel a strong connection to Abigor as my Guardian and have since he appeared to me.
I guess what I'm saying is that I've looked at the other Demons and nobody else seems to even feel right to me. The element I am closest to is water and Eligos' listed element is air. I realize that the guide Priestess Atheron makes sense in saying that the element is probably the same if not close. But is it really a deal breaker? Because if it is, I'm a bit confused as to why everything is pointing me in the wrong direction. 
Does anyone have any thoughts about this? It's greatly appreciated. Thank you.

<td [/IMG]I think its more of them choosing you.I had an astral experience with mine way before I came to Satan.She just appeared to me when I was doing some shaman vision questing.Then when I dedicated,I had her pick up a car from hitting me on my motorcycle.When I got home,I told my wife about it,and she said was it the same one you saw in your vision questing experience.I got on the JoS site,and started looking at them all,and figured since I was a water sign(Pisces)that maybe I could find her that way.So I found Hagenti,and I can relate to a lot of her characteristics.So I said her name to my wife,who told me that when I said her name,she felt this powerful energy around her.Women tend to be a little more sensitive to these things,in my opinion anyway.So I did a ritual to her,and felt incredible energy from her myself.
I can't see her or hear her yet,but  that lady in the car sure felt her presents. LOL That's just my story.Hope it helps you find yours.
