i read on the jos site that being in a trance makes u sensitivty to sounds and can even be painful in the trance states. So i want to know if listening to music while in a trance state would be uncomfortable or painful. Was hoping someone with experience could help me.

Thank you for the advice.

I find listening to music calming so it helps me to focus my mind. i guess i'll give it a shot in a trance and see how it goes.

Not really, just make sure that this music is calm (without any sudden jumps etc.) and that the music won't start playing in the middle of your session. This can shock you out of the trance.

Good calming tune is not only not harmfull, but can help you relax and reach the trance state. Another good idea is to get and mp3 format of nature sounds (forest, lake etc.) that are calming and listen to them during meditation.
