Gay Relationships (male male)

So this is a bit unrelated to SS, but in a gay relationship, specifically male male, is monogamy really possible for a lasting relationship?

I was speaking to a friend and he says that most of them do not last, where as a monogamous, yet slightly open relationship does a lot better?

Just wanted to hear opinions.

it really doesn't matter. It all depends on the person. Open relationships seem to last longer because a lot of people find it hard to be with just one person in a relationship hence the term "variety is the spice of life". Then there are a lot of people who are monogamous.It all depends on if you find a person who embodies all the qualities you desire. Many times people have relationships with others without really getting to know them and without having a connection.That is why I am alittle choosy with whom I would have a permanent healthy relationship with because if not to be honest I would look elsewhere and probably not be faithful in a relationship. I have Venus in Gemini.

I think I have done better with a relationship which is more monogamous, rather than less.  I just got too scared with a former partner who had sex with anyone, mostly due to hiv and stds. It continuously pissed me off that he couldn't say no to anyone. Also tended to make me feel insecure, and unattractive that he would seek sex outside the relationship.

Yes, it completely depends on the person. The important thing is you figure out what works best for you, what makes you happy, fulfilled and satisfied, and you make it clear to the person/people you wish to be involved with. Compatibility is very important, regardless of sexual orientation. For example, I am a very monogamous person, but I think it would be fine if myself and my future husband each have a Demon/ess lover as well. But to me, that's a different situation than with other human lovers, as the Demons are incredibly wise and advanced. I'm not sure if this makes sense to anyone else lol it might just be me.
