A gargoyle is a Low Ranking Demon; they have red eyes and have rubbery wings. They serve purposes such as protection, chasing off enemy spirits and are assistants to higher ranking Demons. They don't speak, so you have to talk to Father Satan if you want a gargoyle to do something. They ARE powerful. I don't really know nothing personally about them (had no experiences with them), i only know the above.
