I know exactly what you are talking about.
When I read something I personally feel is of interest. I copy it down in a document for me to keep for myself. If there ever comes a time when someone is talking about things etc. and I know I have read it somewhere I can just search and reply hehe

 yes definitely doing that! How about for the future though, newcomers to search messages and all of that? Maybe they can all be moved to the new forum, and maybe have a few pointless or bad advice ones deleted xD
