Feeling warmth

I've been patiently and persistently meditating and last night for the first time I experienced warmth in certain areas while meditating. It wasn't everywhere so I felt I wasn't causing it. It was strong on my right ear and my heart chakra. What could this be

What you experienced sounds like the awakening and traveling of the Ida and Pingala. Briefly, the pingaga serpent rises on the right. It is the warm, fire masculine part. The ida rises on the left. It is the cold, female part. Together, they help to open the channels and help to awaken the kundalini serpent. Your kundalini is awake. Now you need to be ready, when it starts to move again, to guide it up and through the crown chakra. This will take much strength and concentration. 
Keep up your yoga and meditations. You're almost there!
