Family wants to put my kid in Catholic school

I have a kid going into Pre-K. I live in a place notorious for bad schools that are generally not safe. There are gangs, poverty and segregation (my child would be a minority race in these schools.) around me. Though I may not live in those areas, the culture is still prominent. People in my city just put their kids in Catholic school for the sake of good education. I am alone with my world views in this family. My husband's family are all very Catholic (but my husband is not.) I'm in a sticky spot where I need family support and can't cause an uproar. I've expressed that I am uncomfortable putting my kid in a school that teaches a religion I don't follow but they say it's for my kid's education. I still feel that it's not worth it. My kid is very young, takes everything literally and truly learns what they're told. I always stay neutral and in time my kid can learn my views, but I will not push any kind of religion on them in the meantime.

I don't know what to say without telling these people that I don't want to sign my child up to be brainwashed. I don't want them to live against the odds of being a free thinker. Is there anyone that can give me advice on how to explain without telling them that they believe a bunch of bullshit? Is it worth moving away and dropping their support, or is it possible to just merely use the school for an education without my kid believing the bible?

Many who studied in religious schools, if they're honest with themselves usually rejected religion. During this period of life there should be disappointment in Abrahamism, at least because this religion contradicts itself all the time, an inexperienced mind will be able to notice this and from this moment the path of searching for true spirituality can begin. Trying to control your child is an exercise in futility. They’ll become what they’re destined/choose to become. It’s a bit like trying to change your parents’ religion, they have do it themselves. There are ultra-liberal atheist parents that get fundamentalist xian children and very conservative xian parents who get kids who become “witches”. Often the child will just rebel against the parent for the sake of it, and a common way of doing that is adopting whatever is the opposite of the parent’s beliefs. This is why it’s crucial to not try to agressively push anti-xianity to your child. It may lead to an opposite effect.

I would look into your child’s chart and study what would be the best way to go around the catholic stuff.

It’s difficult. You will somehow have to go against not just the school staff’s promotion of Catholicism but the children there who they’ll be friends with, who could steer the child towards that as well. You were vague about whether they’re a boy or girl, that matters as well as the appeal of xianity or other similar religions will be different depending on the child’s gender and personality.

It also depends what kind of Catholic school it is. Some aren’t that bad when it comes to shoving catholicism down children’s throats. Others can be more fanatic.

You could do an AOP towards your child and affirm they’re fully protected from all yehuboric influences. You’ll also need to put in a Zevist counterweight of some sort. Pray to your Guardian/Zeus to guide the child and protect them from yehubor.

Ultimately though the child will do what they do and perhaps nothing you do will change what they’re meant to be, and that may be a positive or negative thing.

You could subtly introduce Zevist practices towards your child. Teach them yoga, meditation, cleansing, keep it new agey without openly showing to your husband (unless he knows?) and his family that you worship Pagan Gods and are opposed to xianity. These things will create a clean and unblocked soul for the child.
