I believe someone, maybe HPHC, made a post showing the root origin of Nation comes from French origin which means something racial. So it is only the modern definition which is corrupted, as usual.

Culture is more rooted in race than the modern definition of race, despite people thinking otherwise. This is because it is the collective sum of the individuals which produce a culture, as the culture shows someone's personal expressions and perceptions of the world.

Both are the same thing. The only difference is the one comes from Greek and the other from Latin, but the roots of both have the same meaning.
