Did the dedication Ritual, wonder if it would be valid

Hi All,
I've attempted the ritual over the weekend did the following-[*]Had a shower and left needle in boiling hot water in a cup</li>[*]3 candles, 2 red 1 black</li>[*]Needle was blunt (it did hurt) and wasn't able to cover first letter with blood, so I press my finger over my name leaving blood</li>[*]Couldn't meditate because people was in house and loud</li>I did meditate this morning and maybe again later just wonder would above was valid or will I need to do it again?
I do feel a bit different after it, of cause there is no big fireworks etc after the ritual.
