Did I Do the Ritual Correctly?

When I first did my ritual as a Satanist a few years ago, my candle kinda exploded so I stopped burning my paper early to avoid a fire in the room and since then I've been u sure if I should redo it and burn the paper completely? I haven't been as active with my meditations or anything recently since life's gotten hard but I want to work to rededicate myself. Should I redo it?
