Dedication Ritual broken stone significance?

I performed the Dedication ritual a little while ago, say about a month.
My alter was simple, I used a small flat piece of black marble as the base for my black candle and after the ritual I kept it with me. I saw it as a symbol of my ritual and my pact, as a reminder of it.
A few days ago I forgot that the stone was in my lap while I was in class (Just in case this is significant in any way, this happened around 10:30am). Someone asked to get past so I moved and the stone slipped and broke on the floor. It only fell a small height, not even half a meter but it broke right in half in two equal pieces.
I scolded myself for being careless, because just a few moments earlier I had told myself "don't forget this is there".
I know that it was -my- fault the stone broke, because I forgot, but I have been thinking about it and wondering if this broken stone has a meaning.
Because it broke, does this mean that my pact/dedication is no long applicable, and that the pact is now broken too?
Another theory, that was given to me by a friend, was that the pact could have spread or grown beyond the confines of the stone and hence it was allowed to break by the "Fates" as she described it to me.
To be honest, my first thought of it when it broke was that the dedication and the pact was now free to act, that it was now "in full swing" as it were. I wondered to myself "did I need the stone to break to let it out?" and I admit that I have been a great deal more vocal with my opinions and my beliefs leading up to and since its breaking.
While I usually go with my first instinct, in this instance I became worried, because the last thing I want to do is insult or disrespect our Father and it was told to me that a stone breaking means bad things are coming your way, because it was a stone associated with my dedication and my pact, something bad to do with the dedication.

I would really appreciate some insight and opinions on the significance of this occurrence, it's important to me that everything to do with my dedication is ship-shape and I will be doing some meditation on this myself.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

The only thing that matters is if you intended to perform the ritual with ALL your heart. As for the stone, wait and see. But it does not determine your relationship with Svarog (Satan).
