Daeva

I'm fairly certain, and anyone please correct me if I'm wrong, that
'daeva' is the Hindu word for Daemon. Or Persian, I don't remember
which. But it means Daemon, or at least it used to be. I read that
somewhere, I think it was actually on the Jos site.

Its actually the Zoroastrian word for our Demons, it means "false god" or something. Obviously stolen from Sanskrit Deva, meaning God.
