Creating a good list of books, thoughts?

Would you only focus on these subjects or would you also include good books on astrology, tarot, palmistry, etc., too?

1b. Letters from Seneca(not mentioned often here but I consider it essential reading along with meditations for stoic philosophy)
2. Rich Dad Poor Dad
3. Millionaire Fastlane
4. Nietzsche (various works)

Initiation into Hermetics is mentioned occasionally here but I'm thinking it's redundant to list since the meat & potatoes are on the website, and in their most uncorrupted and simplified form.

My thinking is that books on STEM subjects are too niche to be useful to the majority of people. If we create a list of recommended books, they should be books that everyone can benefit from. Books that broadly expand your mind.

I think it would be beneficial for the community for everyone to have a common literary background, especially in the philosophy and culture of our pagan ancestors.

I would love to be involved with such a project.

Also, I want to mention that huge infographics with no flow and dozens of book recommendations apiece like you often find on imageboards, probably do not help very many people, just because they can be so overwhelming. There should be a structure and not too many recommendations, if we do something like this.

While you are correct. I strongly feel that such a STEM focus would be beneficial for our community. I look at this from the view that having a sort of recommendations and things to sort through can really be important.

Knowledge in many places of the world can be hard to access or afford, part of our advancement is to let our gifts and interests blossom as we develop as a being, that would be my focus on this.

I am very short of time and it's the one way I'd like to start offering something, the other things you mention are indeed all great ideas, just something that we'd have to work at gradually. As these subjects are always at the forefront of my mind along with this path, our community and the Gods.

Having a lack of time is also why I wanted to gradually focus on the things that I can give, since everything else would require alot more research, then if I were to get about 30 books, look them over about various scientific and mathematical subjects, and share my thoughts and recommendations with this in an organized way to benefit some of the community.

I have a habit of also forgetting things. Important things even, so the reason I'd want to take this niche idea first is it would be best for me given my current experiences, so i dont just embark on something bigger and end up dropping the ball.

I want to start small and go from there. That's my reasoning. I hope what I'm saying makes sense.

I wouldn't be okay with that, as I want the best for this community and I'd consider that unacceptable if I started off with alot then just dropped the ball so to say.

In regards to biology I read Richard Dawkins' book "the selfish gene" a bit of time ago and it was excellent, even for a lay-person like myself. Completely changed the way I view life.

I highly recommend Mircea Eliade's writings for a scholarly account of the history of world religions especially paganism with a focus on the esoteric beliefs and practices that dominated. A history of Religious Ideas (vol. 1-3) are my favourite books ever.
