So my friend has been acting strange lately. Just not himself for the past few months. Earlier this evening he said "I'll be happy when all humans are destroyed!" I asked him "wtf what do you mean?" and he said "I just want this planet to myself. Fuck the rest!"
He hasn't said a word to me after that.
But is it possible he could be the enemy and I don't know it?

In the best case, it could be that life is making him a jaded and cynical misanthrope, or he has been for a while and is beginning to trust you enough to show how he really feels. Or it could be some other mental/emotional factor.

Being a little cynical myself I can understand the general sentiment, but the specific wording is rather strange, if he said these things exactly as you wrote. Could be messing with you, or he could be nuts, or something else. You should use your intuition here.
