So before I knew about this I was just sending any energy I had to my third eye because that was the only one I had opened through meditation and then after talking to my cousin about it she said that I had to circulate my energy. So I did and I could feel it going through everywhere. So my question being do you have to have your chakras open to circulate energy and if so does that mean that I already have them open but just not fully opened, possibly from my past life?

They don't need to be opened to do the circulating energy meditation. Though ideally they should be open, active, and correctly aligned to get the most out of the meditation.

Our chakras are constantly 'moving' energy around our body, and are always 'active'. However, in most people, they are on a very low vibration, and often not aligned properly. This causes many problems spiritually, and can often manifest problems in reality.

When we correctly align our chakras, and activate them through meditation and opening them fully, they will be sending energy all around your body naturally.
