"Christmas" is stolen from the Roman Saturnalia. It is the Yuletide season and the xtians stole it as they stole everything else and sticky-taped the name of their nazarene thoughtform 'god' onto it.
So, to answer your question, NO it is not wrong. Yuletide is one of OUR original holidays and should be celebrated. There's lots about it that has nothing to do with xtianity (which is why there is a push by some xtians to NOT celebrate the seasons even though they call it "Christmas" (The Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh Day Adventists, and perhaps other xtian cults do not celebrate Christmas or any other holiday because of the one thing they god more or less right: i.e. it IS a pagan holiday!)
There's the happy times, the visiting, the food/drink, gift giving, decorated trees/homes, etc....lots of things that are a true part of the Yuletide season. Even Santa Claus or Father Christmas is an oblique reference to Satan! (Although xtians insist he's the fictitious "Saint Nicholas")
So when the time comes, celebrate the Yuletide season and enjoy--guilt free! (I don't refer to it as "Christmas" ever; I always call it Yuletide. Some people have asked why. Some wished they hadn't--LOL- -because they didn't like the truthful answer; others were glad to hear it.
Remember, however, that the holiday (like all of them) has been extremely commercialized. Keep your sanity and gear your fun, gift-giving, decorating, etc. to a realistic budget ...
