Chakra shapes

How do we know the root chakra and sacral chakra point upwards while the other chakras except the heart chakra(shaped like a yoni) point downwards? Just curious cause I can't find any other similar info to the JOS sites description of them.

Advanced people can see chakras. That's how we know.

Also how come the sacral and solar chakras points are facing each other, like why are they directing energy at each other? Wouldnt that cause a problem? And how come the rear and frontal extensions of the chakras are directing energy into the sides of the middle chakras? How does it work in taking energy into the sides when there supposed to intake energy from the wide part of the chakra?
