I'm curious what you guys think about Cesar Chavez. Personally I have mixed feelings but I don't know much about him. I do know he was a fan of both Mao and figure of the past and improved the wages and working conditions of farm workers and his unions flag resembles that of the NSDAP.

That would make sense. I feel like most Leftists of the time only had second hand information and probably knew nothing about the atrocities of Communism, much like today. Which would explain the anti-war movement in the 60s that forced us out of Vietnam
