Candle Was or Gel..

Hi everyone.. Can i use Gel candle.. instead of wax?.. it is because i don't want my family members (they are xtians) to notice what i am doing.. So wax candles are more like decorations for them and so that they won't be suspicious..I want to use this candle during my formal ritual, when Im making a commitment to Satan.
