Has anyone ever tried it...it is so depressing...I flirted with it for a few hours and it's horrible.

Yeah, it's rules are meant to be applied to power meditation only, not in real life. If you apply them in real life you'll destroy yourself. For example if you start power meditations you should not have any attachments to your senses or worries or criticism, you won't advance with those. But in your life you can do anything you want.

I've studied everything about Theravada Buddhism, and its actually inverted Laveyan Satanism, they are suicidal spiritual reductionist atheists, they view Buddha as the first teacher and follow his teachings not as a god or something :) I don't know about other sects of Buddhism though.

Our meditations are also a lot more powerful than the buddhist ones and we don't need to meditate 9 hours a day to access our powers like Buddhist monks do.

Buddhism tells you not to have any desires, then you will be "free" from "suffering"--but if you have no desires, what good is living for, you may as well be dead. I tried it too a long time ago and it does indeed suck...

And that's the hypocrisy here, no desires, but they do have a desire to "liberate" themselves from suffering...

"but if you have no desires, what good is living for, you may as well be dead."

They've predicted and made an excuse for this part as well, they think there are higher planes of existence and desires and ego is what binds us to this "lower plane" here and causes us to be reborn every time we die.

Its easy to see it is an imbalanced religion, because Buddhism is spiritual reductionism in its pure form, the complete opposite of total materialism. It tells us that the self is an illusion and any physical things are impermanent and only something beyond physical existance (it is pretty nonsensical here, because Buddhists don't believe we have a permanent soul) is real. Just the opposite of close-minded atheists who believe that only materiality exists.

I've looked into both and I like Spiritual Satanism because it is a balanced religion, and has the good parts of both Buddhism and atheism (and Laveyanism), pleasure and spiritual powers and the Gods as our guides :)

I love the way you sum up the value of Spiritual Satanism -- the good parts of both Buddhism and atheism. Not to mention the complete rejection of any right-hand path religion.

You can't even have the desire not to have desires. That sounds, ahem, seriously fucked up to me.

yeah, buddhism bites. I thought I wanted to be one for a while, but
when I actually started reading about its philosophies, I said fuck
that! All that 'life is suffering' bullshit, and you must abandon
your desires...nope. Most definitely not for me! Though, Daitson's
probably right; if you apply some of their teachings to power
meditation, you might get results, but as a guide to life...no. Hail
Father Satan!

I looked at Buddhism only in a very superficial manner, out of curiosity basically. It is far, far too depressing!

buddhism is one big contradiction i mean dont you have to have a DESIRE to remove desire

That is a very big misconception, it is not "desire" that you are to remove from your life, but material desires. For example, excess food or entertainment (tv, computer, etc).
