Breath of fire pain

Well I've been practicing the breath of fire for some days now. Though I'm not much experienced, I believe you aren't keeping your back straight enough when doing this exercise, and that's the source of the pain.By the way, which position do you tend to use most when practicing the breath of fire? It works best for me in the lotus position. Whichever is your case, remember to sit with your back straight.Now regarding the pressure, as far as I know this is pretty much some of the energy you derive from this exercise, so it's nothing to worry about as long as it doesn't hurt you. Except of course you may be overdoing it. If you are new to this (like me), it is best to start with 20 contractions/pushes, and to do 3 rounds of those 20. You also may be doing it too fast to begin with.Hope this helps :)Ave Zeus

I'm not new to it, I've been doing it for 7 months, I do 73 contractions for 6 rounds, yet I feel no pain except recently. I sit in a crossed legged position with my back straight against the wall.

I don't do the breath of fire too often, but never have pain when I do. When I did first start doing it I would get extremely bad hiccups though.

Hello friend,

If you check out the full chakra meditation, when you do the part for the solar chakra there is the breath of fire as recommended breathing so it is kinda obvious i guess that they are connected but i have never experienced any pain there..

Just lower the reps and make sure you are not doing something else that might make you feel the pain in the back like the meditation of the wings of the soul.
