It is great having physical proof of the benefits of what we are doing here.

Now here is a good one, I just watched a program on short term memory where they presented situations and tested the witnesses memory recall of the details. They also put up tests for the viewer to do.
I expected to do aswell as or better than average and I was right. Where it was expected the viewer would get 3-5 details correct I was getting 5-6 on average and recalling details others were getting wrong.

At the end they showed 6 cards. They expected the viewer to get 3 I got 5 of the 6.
I don't do any 'mental training' specific for memory recall so I am going to start and see if I can improve my mind further.

So, take 6 cards to start with. Any 6 cards from a regular playing deck.
Look at each card for 2-3 seconds then place it face down.
Try to remember in order each card in fact make it harder walk away make a coffee or something distract yourself and come back later and write down on a peice of paper what you remember each card to be. Then turn them over and see how well you did.

You can also use pictures, numbers on a peice of paper, anything. I like playing cards because they are confusing to the brain. You have 4 suites and 2 dominant colours. The brain can play tricks and confuse hearts with diamonds. I bet a lot of people will actually remember a red King as Diamonds and a Queen as hearts.

You can take it further and test your spychic ability by not looking at the cards at all and seeing at first if you can get the colour without looking. I used to do this a lot take a full deck face down and close my eyes pick up each card and make 2 piles to see how many I could get right. You can play with this and have fun with it.

Do you know it is easier to remember the words of a song that brings you an emotional response? Or extremely simple and annoying such as a lot of top 40 'hits' they have formulas for this kind of music that will make it stick in the brain 'having a song stuck in your head even one you hate'

The brain is amazing and very interesting. Keep a record of your results over time and see if they improve with meditation. Use your brain more, challenge yourself. Another one. Pick a random youtube video about something of no interest to you at all you have never seen before, it could be a video on cooking peas dosn't matter, in fact the more boring and the less you know on the subject the better.
Play the first 5 seconds of the video. Pause it. Go away for 10 minutes then write down as many details as you can remember. Then replay the video and see how much you got right.
Numbers, how many numbers can you remember in a row? If someone hit you with their car could you recall their licence plate when the police arrive?

Hail Satan
