New Tarot cards

I had received some original tarot cards from a friend, and have been wondering if it is ok to place the cards into an Tarot pouch that my sister used to use back when she had started out. The pouch has not been used for at least 2 years and I was wondering if I should cleanse it first before placing my own cards in there or is it fine to do it without? Thank you!
