Just saw something online today, where the U.S. maker of military guns has put codes with bible verses on military weapons, so they can say we are "firing for Jesus," which will make us look to middle easterners like we are in a "religious war"....it's sick anyway, the damned ubiquitous Hebrew buybull...

Ugh! That is just wrong. Enough said. Hail Satan!

When I get deployed if my rifle has that shit on it I will file it off. I don't care if I lose rank and pay it'd be worth it

I don't know about that, dude. I think you should play it smart and not do anything rash. We're supposed to live by our convictions but that doesn't mean we should make a spectacle of ourselves if it can be avoided. Here's an idea from me: discuss this with your fellow troops. Convince them that a religious war is a bad thing. Tell them that bible codes imply just that and chances are a lot of them will feel you're right. If you can organize them to file off the ID's of their rifles en masse it will probably be viewed as a protest instead of insubordination. I assume you already get where I'm going with this idea but feel free to devise your own "evil scheme". All I want to say is: Don't get yourself into more trouble than is necessary.

He is right. Because you signed up and joined, that pretty much means you
have less rights than a civilian, until your contract is finished. Its all
in the fine print.

Discretion is the better part of valor in some instances. Tell your
superior that it offends you for a fundamental reason. You might be surprised
at how many will agree. The US is supposed to be fighting for religious
freedom for all people not just one area of religion.

Thing is my unit is aware of my being satanic. I may not ever reach NCO because of that but I was tired of keeping it secret and left it out one day

I think you may have misunderstood me. Believe me when I say (write?) this - I don't like this any more than you would but it's not about what YOU do, it's about what US TROOPS do. Whether we like it or not herd conformity plays a big role in modern society. While it's there it would be smart to use it I say. Like someone already stated as a soldier you are not given much choices so I think it's natural to defend the ones you have vigorously. I can't put a name to this quote (not even sure whether I'm quoting correctly actually) but someone once said: "I may not agree with your convictions but I'd give my life for your right to have them!". I may be talking (typing?) out my ass on this one but by using bible verses for the weapon IDs isn't someone forcing their convictions on you? Since as troops you're (quite literally in some cases) GIVING YOUR LIVES for the freedom of your nation, one would think you have every right to benefit from the message in that quote. As soldiers you're obliged to carry out orders but your reason to be a soldier, to fight is none other than your own. If someone gives you a rifle with "god's word" on it (lack of capitals intentional) it's the same as them telling you: "IN THE NAME OF THY LORD - GO KILL STUFF!!".

And that's my little rant for the night. Hope it was of some help and wish the best of fortune to you.

Hail Satan!
