Just wondering which English translation I should pick up to avoid any deluded scratchings and get more of the truth to these works. Also other book recommendations with trusted English translation? I know Jackson crawford's poetic edda has been told to be very reliable (despite his xtianity)

I think this is a good analysis.

I also find this interesting: https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=uc1.b0000015313&view=1up&seq=9&skin=2021
Good for someone who already knows ancient Greek and want to learn Homeric Greek.
Telling by the comparisons in the reddit post, martin Hammond seems like it might be be the best one to go with not leaving anything out and not being too ridiculous with verbiage not not exactly miss labeling anything too much. I think I will go with Hammond, for now. Thank you for helping me :) Hail Zeus and the gods.

These are GREAT too, Marcus Aurelius, Plato, Aristotle:
