Before staring puja / ritual

In childhood, I started Ganesh puja before starting any ritual.

I loved very much ganesh . But now I am dedicated to Satan. But still I have the love of Ganesh. In Joy of Satan, it tells that before starting any ritual / puja or summoning Dev/ demon , pray to Satan.

My question is , can I chant mantra of Ganesh , the elephant god before starting any puja or ritual?
