Back troubles

Hi everyone, I hope everyone is having a wonderful day. I have some issues with my back, I'm not very good at explaining things but I will try my best as I was hoping someone would be able to help me.

During the winter months the back issues become much worse than normal, I have medications for this but I don't like taking them before meditating as they interfere with this. The back problems also prevent me from doing hatha yoga (if anyone can recommend a routine that wouldn't strain the back to do in the winter months it would be appreciated, the energy drain isn't too pleasant). I usually try to mediate as normal but the past week I've been having worse pain than usual. I have tried changing positions and stuff but that hasn't worked. Some of the additional pain could be caused by Kundalini energy, it is hard to tell in this state, but the pain is different and moves up my spine, which isn't normal for me, even when mediating in winter months in the past. Would there be a way to tell if this is Kundalini energy compared to just the usual back pain? And should I perhaps do different mediations until I've had more time to heal my back and it is stronger?

I hope that wasn't too confusing.

Ice and heat, 20 mins on 20mins off. Some kind of anti inflammitory medication to reduce the swelling and power yoga. That combination will do the trick. Goto a bookstore or walmart, and pick up a Rodney Yang power yoga dvd "he knows his s*it". make sure that you stretch out a little before you start the workout. Just go through the motions of the whole video and do what you can. It will probably hurt but you just gotta deal with it. The exercises will stretch out your ligaments, tendons, and relieve some of the stress thats causing your back pain. Power yoga is a bi*ch sometimes, but it heals your body. Pain is weakness leaving your body, learn to embrace it...

I have a lot of back problems. I do reflexology on my feet every day (charts available online which you can download). I use heat also. I find Tiger Balm also helps better than most other topical rubs. If you don't like the smell, Voltarin, which smells quite nice and its odor disappears in seconds is also good.
