Aum

I am reading about Aum on the site, and it says the "U" is pronounced as the U in "tune". I notice people here don't speak English, but American, so I ask is the "U" in "Aum" pronounced like the U in "tune", or the OO in "cartoon"? The U in "tune" is pronouced "you", as in "t-you-n", where as the OO in "cartoon" is pronounced "oo", as in "Ooh, I like the sound of that", or "Ooooh, so close!", or "Oooh! I bet that hurt!, for 3 examples.

I expect it to be the latter, but I ask so I can have it clarified.

I vibrate it as an approximate light "v", that's how it works to me and magnifies the vibration. I mean the way I vibrate it is like a vowelized "V" (the upper teeth don't touch your lower lip as in the consonant V), not with rounded lips as if it's in U. You can try and experiment which works for you.

AH rhymes with Saw ٠ UUU rhymes with Too or OOZE.

This is the correct/standard way of way of vibrating AUM. You should be able to feel the AH in the stomach, OO in the throat, and MM in the head.

Maum, Thaum, Gaum etc. are vibrated similarly.

I'm not certain about those, because "boo" is oo, and "would" and "push" are "uh". - It's rather difficult trying to type the sounds phonetically when we don't speak exactly the same! Lol.
