Animals, Aura cleaning, And the Final Ritual

I read a post made by one of the high priests a while back about how your not supposed to clean your aura around animals because the negative energy and so on can get in their aura and I was wondering if this also applies to doing the Final Ritual? Is it fine to do the Final Ritual with animals in the same room?
