An important question.

i've been doing the basic meditations listed on the JOS website but i've been wanting to try the intermediate meditations and i'm not sure if i've opened my third eye. I feel its presence and the pressure but am not entirely sure as to if it's opened. Also, is it a necessity for it to be opened before advancing on? Any advice would be helpful,

You can feel it immediately if it's opened/empowered.

Also you don't want to just do the opening meditations by themselves, align your chakras and spin them too. Breathe some energy to them if you want. *Just don't overload yourself.*

Get used to feeling the energy systems in your body and feeling energy in general.
