Amadiọha The “God” of Lightning.

Amadioha is the Igbo god of thunder and lightning, known for bringing justice to the oppressed and delivering vengeance to the wicked. Amadioha strikes down evil-doers with thunderbolts and a divine enforcer of justice, protecting the weak and avenging the oppressed just like Jupiter in ancient Rome.

As a God of thunder and lightning, he is the "General of all divinities" and associated with love, peace, and wealth.

His symbol is a white ram, representing purity and atonement which is the same symbol of Creator God Khnum whom symbolises rebirth, regeneration as he creates the boats and ladders to ascend to heaven to achieve this.

God Khnum (Zeus) wears a two feathered crown of Upper Egypt known as "Atef". The Igbo chiefs and respected members of Igbo tribe still wears a red headwear with two eagle feathers(eagle is a familiar of Jupiter) similar to the "Atef" of ancient Egypt.

Amadioha's colour is red, the same as "Sango" the Yoruba God of thunder and lightning.

Amadioha's day of worship is the Afo market day according to Igbo four day calendar. His influence is prominent in Igbo traditional religion, which is paramount in the day to day affairs as he provides balance and protection to Igbo people as a community.

The name Amadioha means "man of the people," emphasizing his role in establishing prosperity, peace and strength of the Igbo nation. The Igbo people are a very masculine tribe in Nigeria.

He is worshipped for protection, victory in war, and to maintain peace and unity. He is sometimes considered the husband of Ala (the earth goddess) and is associated with Anyawu, the sun god.

Anyawu represents the sun's vitality and principle. Anyawu means "Eye of the Sun" or "Face of the Sun" which is identical to the Ancient Egyptian God "Ra" or "Re" as "Eye of Ra".

The relationship between "Amon" and "Ra" as "Amon-Ra" is also replicated in Igbo traditional religion; Amon(Khnum) is Amadioha and Ra is Anyawu.
Amadioha's presence is recognized in various forms of Igbo art and culture, where he is depicted with a strong military presence.

This further proves the influence of Ancient Egyptian spirituality in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Hail Zeus!!
Hail Hathor!!
Hail the Gods of Du'at!!
